Lesson 1 · the opening verse

God is waiting on your voice.

If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Lesson 1 God is waiting on your voice

Prayer is a privilege, and a very powerful one.

God is listening for your voice, like a father and mother listening for that first cry of a baby for the first time. It’s the sign of life.

“…from the first day that thou didst set thine heart to understand, and to chasten thyself before thy God, thy words were heard, and I am come for thy words.”

Daniel 10:12, KJV

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you.”

Matthew 7:7, KJV

Accessing what God has for us is based on us asking. We must pray!

Lesson 2 Heaven’s password

Humble is heaven’s password

To be humble is like an on and off switch of who controls our life.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”

James 4:7, KJV

We must submit before we can resist.

When we humble ourselves we let go of our past, present, and our future.

  1. Our past

When we let go of our past, God can heal our yesterday through the cross and his resurrection.

  2. Our now

When we let go of our present we allow God to order our steps in his word.

  3. Our future

When we let go of our future we simply let God open and close the doors for what’s next.

Lesson 3 Who is calling?

If we are called by his name, we must call on his name!

“Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.”

Acts 4:12, KJV

The name of Jesus is your access to all authority and power in heaven.

O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not

Daniel 9:19, KJV · quoted in Lesson 3

God will work, but who will let him?
